On 7/9/2019, new Magnolia Rotary Club member Hugh Fullerton, spoke to the Magnolia Rotary Club and provided a little bit about who he is. Pictured above is Hugh Fullerton.

New member Hugh Fullerton told everyone that he is the 5th male member of his Fullerton family named Hugh and that he grew up in New Jersey. However, he has moved around a great deal and has lived in many different places in the United States and Europe. He also spent two years in the U.S. Navy so he has also traveled to many places in the world. He also holds two Master's Degrees and one PHD. He spent his early years as a newspaper man and actually owned his own small town newspaper for over 10 years. When the economy turned down in his state, he found himself teaching part time and eventually became a full time teacher for 25 years before retiring in 2008. Hugh has also taught at U.S. Universities in Europe. Hugh is married and his hobbies include gardening, landscaping, and genealogy.  Although having been in several service clubs almost 40 years ago, he decided to join the Magnolia Rotary Club to get involved in his community and to meet new people.

After Hugh finished his presentation, Magnolia Rotary Club president Janice Thigpen spoke to the club about planning for the annual Magnolia Bowl Event on November 1, 2019. Below is a photo of Janice giving her presentation as well as a photo of a preliminary Magnolia Bowl pamphlet:
