On October 13, 2015, Magnolia High School (MHS) Principal Jeff Springer introduced the four MHS Students of Excellence for this quarter. Pictured from left to right are: Gabrielle Walter, Sarah Hubble, Hayden Moser, and Alexander Henze.
 
The president of the Magnolia Rotary Club, Real Provencher, thanked MHS Principal Jeff Springer and the Students of Excellence for attending our meeting. Real then asked Kelly McDonald to introduce Principal Jeff Springer who received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Magnolia Rotary Club for his outstanding efforts at MHS. Kelly also gave a Certificate of Appreciation to each student as they came up and talked about themselves.
 
MHS Principal Jeff Springer then introduced the student one at a time staring with the boys. Jeff also told everyone that he is in awe of just how much these students do on a weekly basis in both academic and sports as well as many extra curricular activities and community service efforts. Jeff told the students and their families that he is both honored and humbled to be their Principal. He then proceeded to talk some about each student before asking them to come up and tell everyone what their college and career plans were. In the order they were introduced:
 
1. Hayden Moser
 
Jeff told everyone that Hayden is ranked 10th in his senior class, takes a number of AP courses, is involved in UIL Academics as well as on the varsity Baseball Team. Hayden describes himself as the proudest and loudest student in the senior class because he likes the school and his class so much. Hayden's teachers describe him as a role model who is mature as well as a high achiever. Hayden took top scores in AP Physics and is planning on attending one of three colleges including Texas A&M where he has already been accepted. One of his teachers also commented that if his sons turn out to be students who are half as good a student as Hayden, they will be happy.
 
2. Alexander Henze
 
Jeff told everyone that Alex is ranked 7th in his senior class, takes a number of AP courses, and is involved in UIL Math as well as the varsity swim team. Alex describes himself as hard working, driven, and humble. Jeff said that Alex is a natural leader who leads by example. Alex's teachers describe Alex as a student who always comes to class ready to learn, is a great natural leader, has a positive attitude, and always strives to achieve and has a desire to not only learn but fully understand his subject matter. Alex plans on attending Texas A&M and major in Bio-Medical Engineering.
 
3. Gabrielle Walter
 
Jeff told everyone that Gabrielle is ranked 13th in her senior class, takes many AP courses and is both dedicated and hard working as well as being very artistic and well rounded. Gabrielle describes herself as friendly and wanting to make people smile. Gabrielle's teachers she has a great deal of humility and is always smiling as well as being hard working and always prepared. Although not in a major sport, Gabrielle is very much into art and hopes to be an Art major in some college. She indicated that she is still looking at colleges but has not yet decided where she wants to attend.
 
4. Sarah Hubble
 
Jeff told everyone that Sarah ranks 12th in her senior class, takes many AP classes, is highly motivated to succeed and is involved in Accounting UIL as well as varsity Soccer. Sarah describes herself as highly motivated and dedicated to school and her future. Sarah's teachers say she is a wonderful student who is not only dedicated and talented, but was a member of the Accounting TEAM who won the district championship last year.
 
Jeff then told everyone that behind every one of these great students have great parents and a very supportive family. Jeff then asked each student to introduce their parents who received a round of applause from all the Rotary members.
