Rachel Steele, Director Magnolia Community Development Corporation [4b] presents the City's new Master Park Plan

Rachel Steele presented the 4b's new Mater Park Plan to club members. It is the product of a major effort to collect data and public input over the last two years. No new parks or trails have been constructed since Unity Park over ten years ago. With our recent explosive growth, the public's demand for parks and trails has also increased. In fact, their surveys showed parks & trails were very important to creating community among the residents. Major projects include the construction of parking and a public gathering area at the corner of Commerce and 4th Streets. This will facilitate the connection of the Stroll with Unity Park.
Rachel also introduced Dana Berry who is the new Planning Director for Magnolia. She is a very welcome addition to the city and has her work cut out for her.
The members expressed their admiration for all the work Rachel has done to lead the city's effort to develop our community while trying to keep the small-town atmosphere.
