On 8/20, 2019, Rotarian Kandice Cabets spoke to the membership about her efforts to create a carnival atmosphere at the Magnolia Bowl coming up in November, 2019. Pictured above is Kandice Cabets.
Kandice told everyone that she has been working with the Houston Party Rental (HPR) company to help create a carnival atmosphere at the Magnolia Bowl event. For a fixed rate, they can provide 10 events with their people managing each event. The preliminary list of events is as follows:
- Giant Operation - like the box game but a full size version.
- Wipeout - walking along on the top of large spheres.
- Football Kick - see if you can kick between the goal posts.
- Selfie Mirror - see a photo of yourself or a group in a full size mirror.
- Giant Light Brite - creative light pegs that can create both words or pictures.
- Bungee Trampoline - do acrobatics safely while jumping on a trampoline.
- 4 in 1 sports - basketball, football, soccer, baseball booths.
- Giant Connect Four - giant connect 4 game.
- Virtual Reality Package - virtual reality sports like skiing, etc.
The whole setup would be from 4:30 PM until game time and would be run by people from HPR. Everyone thanked Kandice for working on this aspect of the Magnolia Bowl event and believed we should move forward to make this the best Magnolia Bowl event yet.
