On May 31, 2022, Magnolia Rotary Club President-Elect Hope Moye spoke to the membership of the Magnolia Rotary Club about the upcoming 2022-2023 Rotary year. Pictured above is Hope Moye.

Hope Moye Opened up the meeting saying that for 2022-2023 Rotary year, she would like to do a District Project that has something to do with helping or improving the environment for pollinators. Hope stated that she got the idea when Chris Stein (Chief of Heritage Areas and Partnerships in the National Park Service Midwest Region) spoke to the Magnolia Rotary Club membership (via Zoom) about "Operation Pollination". Hope asked that club members be thinking along those lines for a possible District Project in the next year.

Hope also spoke about some other things she has been thinking about:
  • How to improve communications about what our club does in the community.
  • The need to come up with some ideas for community service projects during the year. Maybe work with other clubs like the Magnolia Foundation.
  • Whether there is any specific type speaker the membership would like to see in the future.
  • Types and number of club socials.
  • What the club wants to do for club fund raisers. Email any thoughts or ideas to Hope Moye.
  • Whether or not the club's budget may have to change to reflect any specific changes the club makes.
  • How to better take care of our awesome sponsors.
Hope than told everyone that the 2022-2023 RI President will be a women, the first ever to be in this role.

Frank Parker told everyone that if they would like to come and enjoy the 4th of July fireworks to just let him know. Carl Gerhardt agreed to place on the upcoming events list.
