On 5/5/2015, Montgomery County Texas Commissioner, Charlie Riley spoke to the Magnolia Rotary Club to provide the facts about the upcoming road bond election and answer any questions from the audience. Commissioner Riley is pictured in the above photo.
 
Dan Lowe introduced County Commissioner Charley Riley stating that Charley is:
  • Currently serving his third term as a School Board Trustee for Magnolia ISD and is immediate past president of that Board
  • Founding member and past President of The Magnolia Education Foundation
  • Past Vice President of The Montgomery County Committee on Aging (Friendship Center)
  • Founding member and current board member of the Magnolia Community Foundation
  • Current board member of the Montgomery County United Way
  • Member of the Montgomery County Search & Rescue
  • Member of the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce
  • Member of Magnolia Parkway Chamber of Commerce
  • Member of Magnolia Lions Club
  • Sponsor, supporter and actively involved in the Shattered Lives Program.
  • Lifetime member of the Montgomery County Fair Association
  • Served on the Calf Scramble Committee
  • Attends Magnolia Cowboy Church where he currently serves as the music team leader
Commissioner Riley then told everyone that he will only be giving the facts about the road bond and will not tell anyone how to vote. However, he wanted to make sure that everyone votes and pointed out that today was the last day of the early voting period and that Saturday, May 9, 2015 is the actual voting day and the last chance to vote.Commissioner Riley also explained that he has been somewhere almost every night and on weekends answering questions about the road bond.
 
Commissioner Riley handed out two typed pages titled "The Facts About Road Bonds" and talked about the items listed on the handout. The two pages of the handout are below:
