On 8/24/2017, members of the Magnolia Rotary Club traveled to the Magnolia Alpha Academy to pay tribute to the teachers and administrators by giving them an old fashioned ice cream social to let them know how much they are appreciated. Pictured above from left to right are: Frank Parker, Barbara Provencher, Melissa Pride, Hope Moye, Kelly McDonald, Carl Gerhardt, Tonya McClusky, Glenn Buckley, Real Provencher and Chase Hogan.

Six half gallons of Blue Bell Ice Cream along with sprinkles and whipped cream were dished our (by Rotarians) to all the teachers and administrators of Alpha Academy (see below):

Rotary President, Kelly McDonald told everyone how much the teachers and administrators mean to the members of the Magnolia Rotary Club as well as how appreciative the club is of the outstanding work that they do for our students (see below):

Rotarian, Real Provencher, than explained to the Alpha Academy teachers about how several great teachers he had in his formative years had a great affect on the man he is today.  Real wanted them to understand how important their efforts are to their students even if they never know about it. In fact, many of their students may not realize how much their teachers affected them until years later. Real also explained that many of their students may never come back and visit them but they will remember them the rest of their lives (see below).

The Rotarians then introduced themselves to the Alpha teachers and administrators and the Alpha teachers and administrators also introduced themselves to the Rotarians.

The Ice Cream was enjoyed by all and everyone had a great time.
