Walter will highlight the unique position of the Guerrero Project within the community it serves. Initiated with a Rotary International 3-H grant in 1985 and intended to conclude in 1988, the project proudly continues its operations, marking it as a distinctive endeavor that has surpassed its original timeline. Our focus is on providing indispensable medical care to the underserved population of Chihuahua, Mexico. Despite the challenges posed by our remote location in a small town situated 7,500 feet above sea level and serving 37 counties, our dedication remains unwavering. The individuals we assist, often residing in areas difficult to access, lack alternative means to obtain healthcare services, underscoring the critical nature of our mission.

The club is planning a Saturday workshop to go through a Visioning exercise where we will deteremine who we are as a club and set goals for where we will be in 3 years.  This presentation is aimed at introducing club members to the process.

When children are removed from their homes out of concern for their safety, they are usually brought to a child welfare services office to await placement. This wait can be a few hours to several days. These children often have nothing with them and are scared, lonely, hungry, and in dirty clothing.

Isaiah 117 provides a comforting home where these children instead can be brought to wait – a place that is safe with friendly and loving volunteers who provide clean clothes, smiles, toys, and snuggly blankets. This space allows children to receive the comfort and care they need while child welfare staff can do the necessary paperwork and identify a good placement.

The mission of Isaiah 117 House is threefold:

• reduce trauma for children awaiting placement

• lighten the load for child welfare services

• ease the transition for foster families

Patricia will bring us up to date on their projects here in Montgomery County.  She will also describe their new program The Carpenter's Club whose members help with home repairs for needy families.

Dr. Solis, President, Brazosport College will present, by Zoom, an overview or the current status of Artificial Intelligence.

Chris is the president of CHS a structural engineering company here in Magnolia.  He will discuss the challenges & rewards of entrepreneurship.

Newly elected Mayor "Doc" Dantzer will bring the culb up to date with the goings on in Magnolia.

The empowering girls initative is an oportunity for Rotary Clubs worldwide to engage in service projects that enhance the safety, health, education and well-being of girls in their local  communities and across the globe.  The title of her presentation is Stopping Mutilation of the Girl Child in Nigeria/Africa.

We will create our club's vision for the next 3 years. The District will provide 4 facillatators to help us work thru the visioning process.  It is scheduled to take four hours plus lunch.  All members are encouraged to attend.  This is a very important ALL HANDS ON DECK imeeting.   

President Glenn Buckley will swear in the Clubs new officers for the 2024-2025 Rotary year.  We will also review the oputcome of the Visioning Workshop held last Saturday.

Disaster Aid USA started as a Rotary project and is still managed by Rotarians. Its mission is to provide immeadiate disaster relief and humanitarian aid at home & abroad to victims suffering from the effects of a disastyer.

DG Willhite will visit the club and discuss District 5910's news and review our club's programs and progress.

Steve will explain the mission and accomplishments of Zoe Empowers a 501(c)(3) orgainization that focuses on empowering orphaned youth in Rawanda,Zimbabwe,Malawi, Liberia, Chennai (India), Mozambique, & South Sudan.  Since founding in 2007, Zoe has helped some 118,000 orphaned children become self sufficient through programs addressing food security, housing, health & Hygiene, education and employment.

Ashley is the Community Relations Director for the Harvest Home & Inwood Crossing. www.harvesthomeinwoodcrossing.com.  She will discuss what the Retirement Community Industry is about and things to consider if a retirement home is anticipated in your future

Jd Berma, AD and coaches Craig Martin, MHS and Ben Mcgehee, MWHS will make their annual preseason visit to discuss the upcoming season. 

Jason will introduce us to Guardian Grounds whose mission is, "Healing heroes through the power of nature and relationships".  Their vision is, "To create a sanctuary of solace and rejuvenation exclusively dedicated to our nations heroes-veterans, first responders and their families".  For more information  Guardian Grounds Ranch – Support & Retreat for First Responders.

Alfred is the Division Vice Commander, USCG Auxiliary D8CR Division 6 [Sector Houston-Galveston].  He will be discussing current boating safety issues in recreational boating in our area.  For more information see  https://www.cgaux.org/

Wayne is the Chairman of the Board for Disaster Aid International which is also a Rotary Collaborating Organization.  He will review their activities in support of hurrican Beryl recovery efforts.

Dr. Bullock, the new MISD Superintendent and a new member of our Rotary Club, will discuss the current issues and plans for the district.

Capt. Brent Courtney, a career airline pilot with Southwest Airlines has agreed to discuss what it means to be a major ailine pilot in today's world.

To know and protect our rights and freedoms, we must know what they are.  Gary Henderson will present what “Let’s Keep Freedom.US” is doing in Montgomery County to help us “teach the rising generations to be free.”  A long-time Pinehurst resident, Gary is a technical writer, software developer, recovering entrepreneur, and author of “Freedom! You Can Handle It … But Hurry!”
