The Rotary Club of Magnolia held their annual Paul Harris dinner on Thursday, March 3rd with a record attendance of over 100 community leaders and guests. This award is bestowed by the club to community leaders and club members that have exhibited “Service above Self” (the Rotary motto).  It is named after the founder of Rotary International.   The 2016 Paul Harris recipients were:  Community recipients were Mr. Tony Gullo, Commissioner Charlie Riley (picture attached) and the MISD senior with the most community service hours, Katelyn Helms who earned 525 hours for this recognition and also received a  $1,000 scholarship; Club recipients were Kira Sears-Elliott and Rick Milner; Foundation gifting recipients were Frank Parker and Tom Grayson. The Rotary Club of Magnolia meets every Tuesday at noon at the Celeste Graves Education Support Center.   It is open to members and guests who are looking for an opportunity to give back to Magnolia.
