On 9/1/2015, Pam Rogers of the Magnolia Education Foundation spoke to the Magnolia Rotary Club about what her group does as well as about their upcoming golf tournament on October 19, 2015 at the High Meadow Ranch Golf Club. Pictured above is Pam Rogers.
 
Pam Rogers told the group that the Magnolia Education Foundation was created in September of 2001 and that it was founded to provide "tools for learning" and funds programs outside of the school budget that supports excellence in education. The Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit tax-exempt organization consisting of volunteer, community and who are committed to making a difference, the Board's primary purpose is to work together with the district to ensure student success, giving every child every opportunity.
 
The Foundation provides an avenue for business and community members to enhance the education process. People from all sectors of the community are invited to become involved in the support and improvement of the quality of education.
 
The mission of the Foundation is "To achieve academic excellence by developing financial resources through community involvement."
 
The goal of the Foundation is to fund the maximum number of grants for innovative teaching projects and to increase volunteer participation in Foundation activities and events as well as provide an endowment funding source to foster creative teaching activities.
 
Pam then told the group that their main fund raiser is a golf tournament held in October of each year. This year the golf tournament will be held on October 19, 2015 at the High meadow Ranch Golf Club. They are looking for sponsors and if anyone is interested, to please check out their website at:
