Today the CEO and Program Director of The Coat of Many Colors Ministries visited our club and presented their program to help people in poverty out of poverty and into a career path.
Pictured above is Melanie Davis, Program Director and Dr. Micheal Hayles, CEO
Dr. Micheal Hayles started the program with a food bank in one of his closets. He soon realized that he was not helping by just giving people fish rather than teaching them to fish.
He and Melanie Davis then started the Coat of Many Colors Mentoring University to permanently reduce poverty in Montgomery County.  The goal is assist students to expand their horizons and pursue a chosen career path until they have obtained gainful employment.

The program accomplishes its mission through a progressive four-phase job training and career development initiative:
  1. Expanding Horizons
  2. Choosing the Right Path
  3. Commitment to the Journey
  4. Graduation
Central to the program is the filming of mentors from Montgomery County. These films are used for Family Empowerment Seminars, providing Advice, Career Day material, and e-Courses.
